Me: Hey, dear, do you want to go to the grocery store and get some stuff and make a big dinner sometime this week?
Eva: Yeah! What are we going to make?
Me: … I don’t know. What’s your favorite food?
Eva: — cereal.
I had CheeriOs for breakfast, and instead of slurping the leftover milk, I put three brownies in it.
I quit.
So, I quit writing for the OGB last week, cold turkey — no farewell article or anything.
I got an e-mail from my editor when I was in San Francisco that looked something (ok, exactly) like this:
